Use the title, not the whole request
Enter a distinctive part of the movie or series name. The search field is designed for titles, so adding free online, download or HD can make a useful result harder to find. Start with the name and use the separate filters for format, genre and year.
If a friend sent you a title in another language, try the title under which it was released for your audience as well as the original name.
One name can mean more than one film
How to Train Your Dragon is an example of why the year matters. The featured FlixFlare page is the 2025 film. A remake, an animated version and a series can have closely related names but lead to different viewing options.
Read the year and premise before saving a title. For television, the displayed year normally identifies the start of the series, not the release of its latest episode.
Narrow a broad result
Select Movies if you want one film, or TV Shows for a series. A genre can help when a common word appears in many titles. Add a year only if you are confident about it.
If the result disappears, undo the last restriction. Clear a guessed year before changing the title, and check that the format still matches what you are looking for.
When you have no title in mind
Trending offers recognizable starting points; genres and the FlixFlare collections make a more specific promise about the kind of story. Open a few premises and save the strongest candidates. A short list is easier to choose from than an endless series of searches.
